Choosing your Whirlpool Fridge

There are several things to consider when finding your perfect fridge. Being one of the most sought after brands, Whirlpool has a varied range to suit the need of the everyday cook to the complete food lover.

Not sure where to start with regards to choosing your new fridge?

Here are 5 questions to consider so you can pick an appliance that’s right for you.

1. What kind of shopper are you?

How big your family is and how often you shop will help you decide upon a refrigerator that is right for you. Whilst a huge double door model will be perfect for a large family with a big appetite, a single person that lives on their own may want to opt for something smaller.

Another deciding factor will be how often you like to cook. Some of us love to whip up an exciting meal every evening but others just aren’t into cooking. Unfortunately, even those of us who don’t like to cook need a fridge. So if this sounds like you, you may just want to choose a Whirlpool model with less of the added extras.

2. What features do you need...not want?

There’s lots of exciting Whirlpool fridge parts that you can opt for if you’re looking for something hi-tech and out of the ordinary. From extra storage compartments at the bottom of your fridge, to dehumidifiers and ice trays, there really is something for everyone.

The amount of features you want with your fridge can dramatically change the type that you eventually choose. For example, a simpler refrigerator with fewer featyres will cost you significantly less than a hi-tech model but will still be of a high quality.

Cheaper does not always mean poor quality, especially when it comes to high end models like Whirlpool. Always buy something that caters to your needs, nothing less, nothing more - but do think about the future. Are you due to start a family?

3. What fridge-freezers are available?

There are a range of Whirlpool refrigerators available for the everyday shopper and the long term storage lover. Just some of these include built-in refrigerators, double-door freestanding fridges and under the counter models

It’s important to remember that there will be different types of Whirlpool fridge parts in all of these models. So make sure that the model you choose has the right features and enough draw and door space before you buy.

4. What is the size of your kitchen?

The size of your kitchen can often be the biggest deciding factor when it comes to choosing a refrigerator. If you are short on space, you may find that you need an under the counter or built in fridge, as a freestanding one would have no place or seem too clunky in your small kitchen.

However, if you are lucky enough to have a large kitchen you may benefit from a double door refrigerator, as you should be trying to fill up the space in the room so that it appears more homely.

Always remember to take the measurements of both the area where you want your fridge to sit and the height and width of your door before you purchase any appliance.

5. What about maintenance?

whirlpool fridgeWhirlpool is one of the most reliable brands, however, if you're on a budget you need to make sure that whirlpool fridge parts are readily availble to do the maintenance yourself. You need to make sure you buy genuine whirlpool fridge spare parts from a reputable provider - any less will really damage the whole fridge leading to more costly repairs.
